Discussion this includes a variety of topics relating to the past weeks wrestling television shows including great promo from CM Punk at the end of Raw, the burial of Jack Swagger  just so John Cena showed he 'embraced the hate', the first flag match on WWE TV since (possibly) 1997, how gimmick laden theme of Smackdown proved to be a detriment to the program, the return of Alex Shelley to Impact, the random booking of Samoa Joe & Magnus (WARNING: SPOILERS ARE TALKED ABOUT DURING THIS TOPIC) and more!

When it comes to the two interviews we mentioned we welcome the 'Baby Jesus Of British Wresting' the Rockstar Spud to the program to discuss how the 'Rockstar' came to be, the state of British wrestling, favourite places to party, worst beatings and more! January 2nd 2012 ft. Johnny Gargano of Dragon Gate USA, 2011 Year In Review and more!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!  We hope you all had great new year celebrations. As it is now the year 2012 it's only fitting that we begin the year with a podcast featuring over three hours of wrestling talk.

This weeks show has three key elements to it. First of all a delve back in time to look back at the past twelve months in both the WWE and TNA reflecting on the good, the bad, the ugly and more than likely the odd thing here or there that has been lost in the annuls of time. (It's certainly amazing at times to think how much can happen in a year and then realise how much you'd probably forgotten too.)

The next element of the program is our detailed review of the  Ring Of Honor 'Final Battle' iPPV from December 23rd in New York City headlined by the Davey Richards vs. Eddie Edward ROH title match. A review that went far longer than we anticipated but for very good reasons given how the event played out and how it came across on iPPV.

The third key element to the program is an interview with the Dragon Gate USA 'Open The Freedom Gate' Champion Johnny Gargano to talk a whole host of topics that include winning the Open The Freedom Gate championship, getting started in DGUSA, going on a tour to Japan with Chuck Taylor &  Rich Swan, some of the randomness that ensued during that tour, the DGUSA/Evolve merger, being a member of F.I.S.T. in Chikara and more in a very passionate yet enlightening interview!

Then if that wasn't enough we also bring you a community segment comprised of questions sent in by the DKR Community, announce the results of the DKR Year End Awards and bring you a (fairly random edition of the) pub quiz with a variety of topics on the year 2011! It's a loaded show to the kick off the new year and it's available for your listening pleasure right now!

The Dropkick Radio Japanese Wrestling Show - Episode 0 - NJPW Wrestle Kingdom VI Preview & more!

A few weeks go I (Jeremy Graves) exclaimed at the conclusion of a recent broadcast my desire to embark on a new side project to Dropkick Radio that would focus purely on the world of Japanese wrestling. I received feedback from various listeners encouraging me to make this project happen. So after a bit of planning I decided to record a pilot edition of the show with a good friend of mine and fellow Japanese wrestling fan Matthew Lappin to talk a variety of topics for what was originally planned to be thirty minutes, but ended up going seventy minutes without realising it.

So here for you is the pilot edition of The Dropkick Radio Japanese Wrestling Show!

The Dropkick Radio Japanese Wrestling Show Pilot Episode - ft. NJPW Wrestle Kingdom VI Preview [Recorded December 26th 2011]

Join Jeremy Graves and Matthew Lappin for the pilot edition of a new monthly side project to Dropkick Radio focusing entirely on the world of Japanese Wrestling.

We went into this episode with the mindset for this to act as an introduction to Japanese wrestling (for those new to it) while making sure not alienate those already followers of the scene too. When recording started we had two primary topics in mind; to discuss how we both discovered & got into Japanese wrestling in the first place and to preview the upcoming January 4th 'Wrestle Kingdom VI' event at the Tokyo Dome. But you know how things go. When you start talking about subjects you are passionate about you end up talking for nearly seventy five minutes about a whole host of topics including what you set to out to talk about originally.

So if you are in the mood for something a little different from the norm by Dropkick Radio, why not give this a shot.

NOTE - While recording there was some background noise that we were not aware of. This shouldn't affect your enjoyment of the show but we wanted to make note of it now before you began listening.

If you would like to submit feedback, questions, topic suggestions or comments in general to us, you can so by emailing DropkickRadio@hotmail.com with the subject 'DKR Japanese Podcast'. You can also submit feedback via FACEBOOK and TWITTER.

XMAS SPECIAL - Vintage Collection #1

Here is our special Christmas show for you. Not that it's a Christmas themed show but more a special concept program being released on Christmas day. With the mention of Christmas now being grossly overused in this description let's get onto what this program is about.

This is program where Jeremy Graves and Martyn & Angelina Licchelli sat down in front of the TV to watch the 1994 WWF Royal Rumble Match and while watching conveyed their feelings on what was happening before their eyes! (The idea being you watch the match and play the audio of us talking about it at the same time!) Should this be a little confusing do not worry as all is explained at the start of the program and we've made sure to make it easy to sync up the video and this audio too!

It's the pilot edition of a very unique concept from us. We hope you enjoy it and because it hasn't been mentioned enough already, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY~!
